Germany has rebuked China for “threatening” Europe after a high-ranking Czech politician’s visit to Taiwan riled Beijing.
Heiko Maas, the German foreign minister, also urged his Chinese counterpart to reverse the draconian national security law in Hong Kong during a chilly joint appearance that underlined Berlin’s steadily hardening policy towards China.
