Border Wall Project
Mexican photographer Alejandro Prieto.
The US-Mexico border region is a delicate ecosystem located between two biomes, with regular animal and bird migrations moving between the north and south of the American continent. It is home to a diverse population of mammals, reptiles, birds and plants,at least 800 species of wildlife will be adversely affected by President Trump’s planned 2,000-mile border wall with Mexico. Border infrastructure not only blocks the movement of wildlife, but destroys and fragments the habitats and the connectivity that these animals use to move from one place to another.
