Bank teller saves woman from scammer

 

NAB teller Dilan Pathirannahalage stopped a 60 year old woman from sending $2000 to her boyfriend in Turkey who she met on the internet.  The scammer told her to instead send it to his friend in Sydney who would transfer it to Turkey.

“She told me her boyfriend, who she met on social media, lived in Turkey and needed to fly to the UK for treatment, but his account had been frozen so he was unable to receive the funds from her.
