Racing experts say the
$10m world record paid for a yearling filly at auction in Warwick Farm yesterday was money well spent and a very shrewd investment.
The filly’s mother Winx is a racing legend with her unbeaten run including 25 Group 1 wins – the most major races ever won by a horse anywhere in the world.
When Winx retired in 2019, she had earned more than $26m in prizemoney, which was a world record at the time.
