Hellyer Gorge, Tasmania

If you are thinking of free camping, Hellyer Gorge is a nice spot, it even has flushing toilets.





There is a picturesque walk down to a gently flowing river.

But there are bollards everywhere and there's only room on the grass for a maximum of 2 caravans, the rest would have to park on the bitumen, which is fine with some people but not for me.

Just across the road behind the road sign, there's another track which leads to the same river.

And there's enough room for everyone.
