We left the car in the carpark and took the shuttle bus to Dove Lake. There are many different walks here to suit everyone, depending on your level of fitness. You can take a leisurely 20 minute stroll or for the serious walker there is the world-famous Overland Track, a magnificent 6 day, 65 km walk through the heart of some of the finest mountain terrain.
A Ranger said today they only get 5 or 6 days a year of sunshine and by Wednesday this week, there should be snow on the top of the mountain. So it's usually covered in cloud and misty rain but today the sun was shining on this beautiful place.
