Paedophiles have changed the way we live. They are now trying to snatch children off the street in broad daylight.
Mothers now escort their young children into public toilets, fearful of who might be lurking in there, and worry about letting their toddler play unsupervised on the front lawn of their own home because of what happened to 3 year old William Tyrrell. He was snatched from the front yard of his grandma's house in September 2014 and hasn't been seen since.
Yesterday, a 10 year old girl told police that two men tried to drag her into a van as she walked home from school. The passenger tried to start up a conversation with her and then both men got out and grabbed her around the mouth and on the arm. She bit and kicked at the men and they lost their hold on her and she ran for her life.
She went to her friend's house and then headed home and raised the alarm. The van followed her to her house and briefly parked outside before driving off.
Incredibly, the 10 year old managed to give police an excellent description of the men. One was Caucasian, about 40, bald and clean shaven, with blue eyes and a large build. He was wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts and had the letter "C" tattooed on the back of his neck.
The other man was around 30, dark complexion, short curly black hair, brown eyes and thin build. He was wearing a long sleeved red and blue striped shirt and dark blue tracksuit pants. He had a tattoo including the letters "COT" outlined in red, running down one arm.
The van had a black stripe running down the side, rusted wheel rims and only two windows over the driver and front passenger doors.
These two men felt confident enough to snatch a child off the street in broad daylight and it's happening all too often. This little girl was astute enough to realize what was happening and fought tooth and nail to escape, but what about a little first grader, what chance would they have.
There should be an all-out war on paedophiles for ruining our quality of life and yet they continue to receive a slap on the wrist and minimum jail time. For some reason, our judiciary doesn't see it for what it is - the sickest and most vile crime of all.
