Vice Admiral David Johnston new Australian Armed Forces head

 

Former submarine commander Vice Admiral David Johnston will be the first naval officer in 22 years to lead the nation’s armed forces.  He was named vice-chief of the defence force in 2018, and previously served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
